Trajan75: Immortality is A-OK!

The delusions of the blogosphere’s village idiot, Trajan75, just continue to spiral out of control. Now it appears that Captain Freakopod has taken issue with elementary school biology. He dedicated an entire post to this comment of mine:

Okay, fine. You’re right. I do want cancer patients to die. I also want the Spanish to die. And all other Christians, for that matter.

Hey, Trajan – I have a news flash for you: Everybody dies.

It’s part of the natural cycle of life. Everything – from bacteria to blue whales, cancer patients to Christians – eventually shuffles off this mortal coil and departs the land of the living for the great unknown beyond the shores of the river Styx. Despite efforts by scientists and plastic surgeons to postpone the inevitable, the world death rate is still steady at 100%.

But Trajan disagrees. His omnipresent urge to argue has led him to issue his most ludicrous proclamation yet – he is anti-death. (But pro-genocide, oddly enough.) He doesn’t think anybody should die, and that all humans should be immortal. Well, let’s just see what would happen to the human population if we followed Trajan’s “everybody lives forever” plan:

As any fool can plainly see, the rate of population growth explodes geometrically when set against a high UN prediction of population growth. Instead of nine billion people in the world in 2050, under Trajan’s plan we’d have 247 billion people on the planet. Those 247 billion people would all need food and shelter and water and jobs and money, and would all be competing for the extremely limited resources left on our planet. There would be massive food riots and water wars and famine and starvation that would last for eternity. Billions of people would be doomed to misery and suffering, praying for a merciful death that would, alas, never come.

That’s the world Trajan wants.

He is truly a cruel and unfeeling individual.

TP Watch Silent about the Gamera-Mothra Alliance

While the twittering twits at TP Watch have their tighty-whities all in a titter about the fictional Progressive-Islamist alliance, they are shamefully ignoring the just-as-ludicrous-but-no-less-frightening alliance of Mothra and Gamera. These two fire-breathing, bullet-impervious, radiation-spouting, mountain-sized menaces have destroyed Tokyo dozens of times since the mid 1960s, and there is no reason to believe they will not turn their immense size and strength on the United States or our allies.

The fact that TP Watch chooses to ignore this threat means only one thing – conservatives are daikaiju-sympathizers. I call on my liberal and progressive brothers and sisters to join me in exposing these pro-monsterists before they allow our country to be invaded by giant claymation mutants!

The Drug Addiction of Bigotry

In tonight’s bite-o-spite on the TP Watch, AvidEditor provides a frightening insight into the mind of the conservative bigot. Now I truly understand why these people are so royally fucked-up. To these assholes, hatred is merely a defense mechanism against a made-up enemy:

… we must be careful of what we tolerate, because intolerance is the gatekeeper, the immune system that acts as a barrier. There are things for which that barrier should be lowered and things for which it should remain in place. A society that universally tolerates everything is a society without values or defense mechanisms.

When the defense mechanisms no longer exist, when the gate is permanently raised and the immune system disabled, the society is open and vulnerable to conquest, exploitation and colonization. A society eager to tolerate its intolerant enemies is like an AIDS patient with no working immune system welcoming in cold sufferers or an unarmed man offering a hug to an opponent who is trying to stab him to death. Yet that is almost exactly the situation we are in.

In other words, we have to hate Group X because they threaten to impurify our society, to destroy us from within. It’s a defense mechanism. We have to be racist and bigoted otherwise we’ll be destroyed.

Of course, it hasn’t always been Muslims who have threatened to destroy us from within. First it was all non-whites, or whites without good moral character. Then it was the Catholics who were going to break down the moral fiber of our society. Then it was the Chinese who were going to destroy us from within. Then it was epileptics, lepers, and Central Asians. Then it was Jews and Eastern Europeans who were going to destroy us. Then it was Mexicans and Communists.

So right now the big scary bugiman we have to fear is the Muslim. Until the haters on the right find someone else to be afraid of.

Tolerance may be a virus, but fear is a drug addiction.
