TP Watch Celebrates Deaths of 20 U.S. Troops in May

Oh those silly chickenhawk troop-haters at Think Progress Watch. Not only do they love the idea of keeping our troops in harm’s way, but they are absolutely gleeful at the prospect of them dying in scores – even just one score. as any fool can plainly see from their latest webonical poopousity:

Think Progress last month celebrated an uptick in US deaths in Iraq. However they are silent about this months count. Why is that you ask. Well here’s the reason.

20 Us soldiers died in May. … 20 is great improvement.

Never mind that their premise is completely incorrect, and ThinkProgress DID mention the lower-than-average casualty rate. After all, who needs facts when you’re a conservative? Certainly not Eric “Farty” Odom and his Legion of Dumb at TP Watch.

But more to the point – it is absolutely appalling that TrajanLXXV and his Orwellian syncophants would celebrate the deaths of 20 young Americans with such unabashed glee. Cota (33) of Tucson, Ariz. or Cpl. Jessica A. Ellis (24) of Bend, Ore. or Sgt. Joseph A. Ford (23) of Knox, Ind. or Spc. Mary J. Jaenichen (20) of Temecula, Calif. or Pfc. Aaron J. Ward (19) of San Jacinto, Calif. or Spc. Alex D. Gonzalez (21) of Mission, Texas or Lance Cpl. Casey L. Casanova (22) of McComb, Miss or Cpl. Miguel A. Guzman (21) of Norwalk, Calif or Lance Cpl. TP Watch Commenter Melo Hates Our Troops!

In TP Watch’s recent rip-roaring hootenanny over the tragic deaths of four U.S. Marines, infamous troop-hater melo issued this lovely statement.

They’re the ewoks, and we’re the Imperial Storm-troopers, you know, by now of course. Nobody sobbed when an Imperial Storm Trooper ate that tree, did they?

Just disgusting.

While melo is busy whining about a bunch of Muppets, our troops are lacking body armor, being electrocuted in poorly-constructed facilities, drinking contaminated water, not receiving adequate medical and mental health benefits, and being returned to Iraq in deployment after deployment without sufficient time home with their families. And he’s just fine with keeping our troops in Iraq indefinitely. His silence on these issues is indeed deafening.

Oh, but he’s worried about a bunch of Krofft Puppets. Good one, melo. Nice sense of priority there you sick fuck.

Conservaspeak: Caring about the troops = hating the military

The TP Watchers have put up their daily dose of twisted logic, and today they provide us with a veritable Möbius strip of syllogism. See if you can follow this one:

A. TP reports that soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Pentagon sources, have difficulty accessing mental health services.

B. TP reports that, according to an Army General, extended deployments are putting trememdous stress on military families and damaging troop readiness.

C. In repeating these statements made by military officials, TP obviously hates the military.

In logic terms, this would be stated as IF A AND B, THEN C, where A=”caring about the mental well-being of our troops” and B=”caring about the readiness of our troops” and C=”hating the military.”

Liberals (and apparently some traitors in the Pentagon) are killing our troops by caring about them! This carejihad must be stopped! How dare we liberals think of our troops as anything other than backdrops for photo-ops?

I wonder if anyone ever mentioned this to Bob Hope before he went on more than 50 troop-hating excursions with the USO…
